Women receive individualised antenatal care by Akal throughout their pregnancy. During visits they are given a full antenatal check up.

They have ample time to ask questions about their pregnancy and the pending birth. They also have telephone access between visits to answer any concerns as they arise.

Akal attends women during birth for the full duration of labour and for several hours afer.

Home visits are made following the birth to observe the mother's progress and to check the baby. She will be able to answer questions and give advice on the care of the new baby.

There is a final visit at 6 weeks for a postnatal check for the mother and her baby.
